Description

We've taken the roguelike deck builder to the next level in this unique quest-based survival game. Play as two characters as a team in this storytelling game, create your own cards, name the beasts you discover, and build decks where cards have limited durability.

Teamwork is the key

You have four characters to choose from, each with their own set of unique cards and special abilities. Character cards include teamwork cards that can be played by either player and can work synergistically with two characters.

Master the unique card mechanics

We've introduced several different card mechanics to Castaway Station. In addition to each character's deck, character cards are also tied to the equipment you find, giving you a wide range of customization in battles. All of these character cards have a durability mechanic in which the card uses up one charge each time you play it.

When you play your last charge, the card is depleted and played twice. You unlock new cards for every 10 cards you drain. We also have a third deck, the story deck, which offers unique cards based on encounter, enemies, location, and even weather. These cards will further expand your choices. Any character may play a story card.

Choose your quests

The crew of Castaway Station can complete 28 missions. Some of them are necessary for further narration. Many are repeated to increase your strength and assets. You select missions in the shuttle mission log. In the Shuttle, you can also copy one-use items, upgrade your gear, recharge your cards, and…

Create your own cards

One of the more unique aspects of Castaway Station is the Synthesizer, where you can create your own character cards with a wide range of attack and defense options. These cards do not use charges and can be some of the most powerful in the game.

Track the Xenomorphs you discover

By studying the flora and fauna of Prima Centauri B, you create a Bestiary with details about xenomorphs and tips for dealing with them. You can even name the animals yourself.

An outdated system has your back

You will not cope with the first time, nor with many after that. But every time you fail, you carry over new maps you've unlocked, any equipment you've upgraded, and any currency you've earned, and if you finally beat the game, you'll have 9 more difficulty levels.
